Get-out… you’re using Logitech mic’s for the show?
No way… what are you really using for mic’s?
By Brian & Angela on 07.17.05 1:55 am
singular… one logitech mic.
for real.
By drew on 07.17.05 2:18 am
ummm, The plural of Mic, is MICS, not mic’s (unless the microphone is possesing something!)
By Jason on 07.17.05 11:25 am
however an apostrophe does replace missing letters such as ‘raphone’ hrmmm I’ll have to ask my English Teacher!
By Jason on 07.17.05 11:27 am
This is my first podcast also and the only one I haven’t deleted!
You guys are super cute.
I’m glad I get to listen in!!
By saraH on 07.18.05 12:20 am
Really enjoy the show, keep it up. Soory about your living in Wisconsin….
By Ken on 07.18.05 12:21 pm
Listen up—
apostrophes can be used to create contractions (such as is’nt) but an apostrophe at the end of a word followed by an s is almost always for the purposes of possession. It is one of the most common and IRRITATING mistakes >:( to use ’s for plural. Mic is a word, albeit a shortened version of microphone. The plural is mics (dictionary.com also lists mike as a synonym, so the plural there is mikes). nyah
By Bill on 07.18.05 6:03 pm
oh. and “Soory (sic) about your (sic) living in Wisconsin…”?
what you meant was you’re, not your. You’re is a contraction for you are; your is the possessive of you. If you are sorry about “your living” in Wisconsin, we can only assume that you are A) sorry that they are alive or B) sorry that they have what you consider to be a bad living (wage-wise?).

Just wanted to say you guys rock. I love the show and it always brings a smile to my face. Its cool so keep it up!
By WU on 07.18.05 7:06 pm
It’s nice to know someone is as fanatical about punctuation and grammar as I am. some words people always mis-use that always get under my skin are:
“can you loose your hat?” (lose)and my ball cap is a fixed size, no adjustment on the back
you’re/ your
wear/ where
its/ it’s
hour/our
affect/effect
etc.
People it isn’t that hard! read a book and you will soon learn the differances

Great show, keep up the good work. iTunes helped me find the show, as im sure it helped many others. Do you have an idea of how many people that listen to your show live in Wisconsin? I do, so thats 1. (I live just outside of milwaukee.)

Hi D&D,understated English guy here thinks your podcast is quite good …Oh fer fuck sake, it’s very good !! (there, I pulled a muscle)
I thought you might have used “Inkernet” as a tag, it’s kinda yours.
I took 10 of your early episodes with me on a trip to Germany last week. Apparently Dawn und Drew haven’t yet made deep penetration in Bavaria and Swabia yet.
By Steve on 07.25.05 8:03 am

I was blown away by the poem at the end of 7/29. The music, piggies with rings, pussys, I think a fox and a bunny too were just what that poem needed to do it for me.
By Steve on 07.29.05 10:13 pm
Why don’t you two get a life! just kidding. I’m doing a mainstream blog on you. Check my two recent ones on http://www.smh.com.au under “radar” blogsite. lambe, paris.
By Welcome to Wallyworld on 07.30.05 10:30 am
I thought the piggy poem was groovy as well…vert well recited with perfect background music (well produced, Drew!) by the way people, “isn’t” is written with the apostrophe between n & t and not between s & n and “your living” IS gramatically correct..as in “your not being able to correct grammar!” Rock on with your bad selves Dawn and Drew and keep it “cumming”!
By Amy on 07.30.05 8:30 pm

And i had coincidently just got an ipod. BAM! i found out about Dawn and Drew.. I hope my girl lover is like DAWN.
By Thomas Jay on 08.04.05 7:27 pm
I am listening to your 4/28/05 show right now @ work on my iPod trying to catch up btween TWiT and HDTV casts. I have tried the other guy/girl shows and you are the best. As a fellow Wisconsinite (Imported from CA and feeling no shame)I chuckle at your Wisconsin-isms and Dawn’s willingness to talk about her pussy, yet prudish tendencies when talking about actual touching and sex. Glad you have been married 10 yrs. It means there is hope for a long lasting relationships for the rest of us aging freaks. Keep up the great show.

Bliss! The Dawn & Drew Show has been a delightful addition 2 my life. If u only knew how it has helped improve my way of living. Since my subscription (a month ago) my family, friends and my lover have noticed a dramatic change in my lifestyle. The bed wetting has stopped, I am stress free and the rash has gone. Also as well as my penis swelling 2 a modest 10 inches on semi-hard, I have now grown a vagina, located underneath my scrotum (goochville) so I can now fuck myself all day long. Cue the man boobs!!!

thanks for cheering up my 45min bus journey!
I’d like to point the finger of blame at you guys for making me spit on the guy next to me on the bus. I tried to discreetly wipe it but I felt his leg instead. He winks at me now

“oh. and “Soory (sic) about your (sic) living in Wisconsin…”?
what you meant was you’re, not your. You’re is a contraction for you are; your is the possessive of you.”
Actually, your was correct. “About your living in Wisconsin,” is a prepositional phrase. Living is a gerund (a noun derived from a verb), the object of the preposition about; because of this, the possessive ‘your,’ not the contraction ‘you are’ is required.
And this is a great podcast. One of the few I have enjoyed and continued listening to on a regular basis.
By Chris on 08.13.05 4:29 pm
You got me hooked on the shit!!! Ya’ll got me jacked up on the sexy humor. Someone call for an intervention. You think it’s a joke… Anyway, thanks for all the good times, but ya gotta make more shows. I need a steady supply streaming in or I might get all(b)itchy.

I’m listening to #128 at work (I’m a naughty boy) and was just wondering if there were any names us English folk give you either in jest or hatred. I can’t think of any so if you guys know of any names you give to us English buggers let me know and maybe I could come up with a name in retaliation; perhaps with enough use and announcement on your show we could make my nick name universal?
I’m very bored at work by the way.
I love your show xxxx

You grammarnazis and pundits should check out some gerunds. Gerund? An ING word that functions as a noun representing the activity? ‘your living in Wisconsin’ is quite acceptable. Don’t correct glass houses when you’re an ignorant mofo.

Thank you for a very pleasant distraction. Most times I listen while I am walking our dog, Mikey the beagle. Your discussions are engaging, simple, elegant, raw and profane. I hope you can keep it fresh and fun as when you did it for “the heck of it” versus a living. My son played soccer this weekend in Cedarburg, Wisconsin and I saw a sign for West Bend. I said to my son,Mike, “we are in Dawn and Drew” country. Here’s an unsolicited suggestion or maybe request. Let’s hear Dawn sing something all the way through. On a few occasions you’ve sung a phrase or line- you have a sweet voice- it would be interesting.
Once again, thank you, its fun!

In less than 12 months, the secret(s) of the DNDS success (which, in part, I have unravelled) will be taught to media students. However, beware success. You are a truly delightful couple and your show simply reflects that. Thank you.

Irish twins is a American slang term that refers to siblings born 9 to 12 months apart - usually in the same calendar year, or who are in the same grade in school. The term is considered derogatory by some because it references the large families of Irish Catholics who did not use birth control (and thus had many children in quick succession) but is often used endearingly by the families of the “twins” themselves.
By denise b on 10.21.05 1:01 pm
I’m pretty current with your podcasts but we’re wondering about :
1) How Dawns grandfather is doing- we liked her sharing her concerns, its okay to emote and let it show…be yourself-who cares what people say, be your lovable genuine selves..
2) Seems like some people did not like Dawn’s Dad, so we dont hear fron him ever again? He’s very entertaining and the epitomy of many of our fathers… its fun…
3) How did the two of you come to settle on an old farm? How’d you get it? Whats that story? Is it a working farm? How big?
4) Kids….I remember saying the same thing about inviting this total stranger into your life and they just take take take and never say thank you and its all about them. We have four now 19, 16 and twins at 13. All I can say is, if you love those dogs and chickens, you’ll be orgasmic when your “fruit of your loins” burps, cries, says mommy , or hits a home run.
If you think its great getting into each other, just wait until you get into someone life thats both of yours..
Thank you for your work and passion and sharing your lives…

Dudes! You gotta call T.A.P.S.; the people that they follow around in the SciFi channel’s Ghost Hunters. They would totally come to your house looking for ghosts! You guys rock! I lived in Wisconsin for 27 years and I know how hard it is to find cool people there. We got Sirius for Howard Stern, but now we are addicted to you!
By Dee on 11.07.05 8:23 pm
Great show! I’m a little late to the game (just started with ep.100 yesterday, but have listened to ten more since), but I’m glad I finally made it. With you and NLO, there is too much podcasting goodness.
Oh, Bill and Jason…you shouldn’t appoint yourselves grammar police unless you know your own act is straight. After reading your posts and laughing at numerous errors (”is’nt” Bill? Is that really how you contract “is” and “not?” Funny coming from a guy giving lessons on contractions. And Jason, learn to spell, and hey…how about capitalization?), I wrote you two off as jokes.
By Chrise to the game (just picked up episode 100 yesterday on 11.08.05 1:57 pm
Love your show! And I am from Wisconsin, too! Mad-town! (That’s dumb isn’t it, refering to Madison as “Mad-town.” Remember those Mad-Town T-shirts? I used to sell them when I worked on State Street.) Keep up the funny, Butt Monkeys! [hearts & kisses]

Hey Guys…
I do about 50,000 miles a year driving around and consulting in AZ. Got my Sirius system a couple of years ago, enjoyed it ever since…
Love your segment on the Pod Show…I listen to the publicity you seem to be getting (local TV, etc.), and you deserve it…but I appreciate the fact that you keep it real…
Just wanted to say, pretty sophisticated website also for the recently upgraded microphone people you present yourself as…:0)
Nice to listen to a couple who are having fun, seem to love each other, making ends meet without selling out to the man, and upgrading from the Dodge Neon, raising chickens and having a dog named Speck (which HAS to be a PeeWee Herman movie reference) and having fun whilst doing it…
Anyway, you guys are fun…
Thanks for brightening my day!

Listen to your show on Adam Curry’s podcast. Great stuff. You cannot, however, cause a vaginal embolism by blowing air into someone’s twat. You can cause pussy farts which, though not usually fatal, can be embarassing.
By steve on 01.09.06 10:23 pm
I wanted to just say that I love your show — even though it’s tough for me to admit that. It pains me to be so selfless. You are the enemy; the quote/unquote “competition.” OUR NEMESIS, but also… inspirations and mentors. We’ll see you when we pass you up on the great podcast highway to become the #1 podcast in the universe. Because we have a show that’s much like a FANTASTIC stack of pancakes that YOU CAN’T STOP eating.

The reason I listen to the show is to hear what Dawn is going to say next. Dawn is the funniest woman in podcasting. All Drew has to do is laugh at the funny things Dawn says and make a few little comments here and there. Dawn is the new Johnny Carson. She is the star of the show. Drew is like Ed McMahon. Ed McMahon made a career of laughing at Johnny Carson’s jokes and making small comments. If I were Dawn, I would ditch Drew and go solo.

You guys are great examples of how cool married people can be! I’m so happy that you have figured out a way to make a living at this.
I am a fashion designer who moved out of NYC to Upstate NY and I tried commuting for 4 years. After I had my one and only baby I decided that commuting was evil. I now teach Fashion Design at Marist College. Not bad…old Punk Rock Girl gets to be a college professor????!!!
Anyway…you are an inspiration…be happy and teach your babies to be happy…oh yeah…and listen to country music and Elvis and the Misfits and all those things that make life bigger and better.
take care

Anyone else notice Jason’s comment on 07.19.05 who wrote a big post complaining about grammar and punctuation and then spelled the word differences wrongly. Retard.
Love the show Dawn and Drew, just got my new iPod nano and it was one of the first podcasts I subscribed to. Keep up the good work.
By NEIL on 03.27.06 3:06 pm
Not to belabour the point or anything, but Jason also missed out a comma AND a full stop. The sentence should have read, “People, it isn’t that hard! Read a book and you will soon learn the differences”.
Perhaps Jason should return to school to learn basic literacy skills?

Holy moly normal people of the world unite! Drew and Dawn (Dawn comes before Drew exept after “unite!”), your show is so comforting to listen to. Thank God for independent broadcasting or a lil’ Canadian gal like myself would never have had the pleasure of knowing such a cool pair of people lived on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. If you ever come to Vancouver on one of those “road trip” things you guys invented (which I don’t think are gonna catch on by the way haha) I hope I’ll be lucky enough to bump into you guys. Love Jessie
P.S. This is my first “blog” ever haha. I’m eating some Captain Crunch to celebrate! What can I say, you get a slow start on things living in an igloo. Where did they get such a gross sounding word from anyways…blog. Oh well, I’m sure someone will blog a response to my blog to explain where they got the word blog from. BLOG

Best Podcast ever… I just keep coming back for more… you guys are just brilliant!
Avid New Zealand listener here!

listening to you on the treadmill makes 30 minutes go by faster, maybe if the two of you made a pilates video i could watch you instead of marie windsor. And i am sure you guys would actually make it look tough and add a “fuck” in there when the breathing was harder…and I bet one of you looks good in green spandex! I am busting for a pee. so bye.
I (Canadian) and my hubby( Australian) are listening to you in Newcastle Australia!

You two crack me up day in and day out. There’s nothing that I enjoy more than a good conversation. Especially about nothing in particular. That’s probably why I dig your podcast so much.
Hey! I just noticed that you started podcasting the day before my birthday! That means that your show’s a Libra. Chock full ‘o creativity. Makes sense.
I’m still working on making a sweet ID3 tag for you two. I’m sort of a perfectionist, so it might take a while.
Anyway… keep up the good work you crazy fookers you. -Raf

My friend hooked up your show to my car radio on the way to Sarasota. I about wrecked the car and spoiled a lot of Disney vacations from laughing so hard. You guys are the Boneroo-Bizarro!
By Richard C on 07.17.06 8:18 pm
You guys are the best, you crack me up everyday on my drive home from work here in phoenix az.

I think I found you guys in the comedy section of PodcastAlley.com. After reading the description, I listened to the most recent show and been hooked ever since. You guys are great.

A follow up to my message on the worst job I’ve ever had, collecting donations for quadraplegics. I didn’t actually work for quads per se, but rather for scum bags who spent the money we collected on beer.

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to blow your mind by leaving a comment. And yes, my loves, I am proud of you both for realizing your dreams. And no, I don’t listen to all of your shows - just some of them.
Love Always,

Dawn & Drew You are wonderful people, and, quite clearly, without peers in the podcasting world. I have loved every moment of every show from day one!
Thankyou sooooooooooooo much for being yourselves.
